An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Process Engineer to join a globally recognised pharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing healthcare solutions. Due to substantial investments and continuing growth in their capital projects portfolio at a state-of-the-art facility in North London, the company seeks an experienced Process Engineer to join their dedicated team.
Role Overview: As a Process Engineer within the Capital Projects Team, the successful candidate will be pivotal in optimising manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence, compliance with GMP standards, and enhancing overall productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and optimise pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Perform process evaluations, identify improvement opportunities, and implement innovative solutions.
- Support capital projects from initial planning and design through to commissioning and validation.
- Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive process documentation and validation protocols.
- Ensure processes comply fully with regulatory standards and internal quality management systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and technical deliverables.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to support the development of junior team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements, recommending improvements that maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
- Extensive experience in process engineering within GMP-regulated environments, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
- Proven expertise in process validation, scale-up, and technology transfer.
- Strong knowledge of industry guidelines, including GMP, FDA, EMA, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a systematic and analytical approach.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across multiple organisational levels and external partners.
- Previous experience in managing capital project activities with a focus on cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.
